It\u2019s not every day (nor every year) that a college gets a string of accolades praising it for being one of <\/span>the<\/span><\/b> Best Colleges<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>in the Country<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0 Yet we\u2019ve done it again! Yes, we have!\u00a0 For the\u00a0<\/span>fifth\u00a0<\/span><\/b>consecutive time since 2009 when it all began, SEGi College Subang Jaya (SCSJ) has amazingly bagged the\u00a0<\/span>Top College Award<\/span><\/b>\u00a0by the Malaysian Quality Evaluation System for Private Colleges (<\/span>MyQuest<\/span><\/i>).\u00a0\u00a0 And yes, we\u2019re simply over the moon!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We at SEGi College Subang Jaya are <\/span>indeed\u00a0<\/span>very proud and honoured to have been winning\u00a0<\/span>MyQuest<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u2019s<\/span><\/b>\u00a0six-star rating<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>(<\/span>six-stars<\/span>\u00a0being\u00a0<\/span>highly<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>competitive<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and the maximum number of stars<\/span>)\u00a0<\/span>unfailingly<\/span>\u00a0for the fifth\u00a0<\/span>time in a row<\/span>\u00a0since the inception of th<\/span>is<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Ministry of Education\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>rating system in 2009.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>The Malaysian Quality Evaluation System for Private Colleges\u00a0<\/a><\/span>(<\/span>MyQuest<\/span><\/i>)\u00a0<\/span>was\u00a0<\/span>created by\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>Malaysian Ministry of Education<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>to encourage<\/span>\u00a0excellence in<\/span>\u00a0higher education institutions of college status in<\/span>\u00a0Malaysia<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>It\u00a0<\/span>is\u00a0<\/span>one of the most important<\/span>\u00a0mandatory<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>assessments<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0private college<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and is undertaken\u00a0<\/span>once every\u00a0<\/span>two<\/span>\u00a0years.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the\u00a0<\/span>2016-2017\u00a0<\/span>quest for excellence, SEGi College Subang Jaya emerged as the Biggest Winner among all the colleges in Malaysia!\u00a0 And how did we accomplish this stellar performance?\u00a0 Well, we were awarded <\/span>six stars<\/span><\/b>\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>nine out of the entire ten<\/span><\/b>\u00a0categories, which is the highest number of\u00a0<\/span>MyQuest<\/span><\/i>\u2019s\u00a0six-star rating in the whole country!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No small feat for anyone, really.\u00a0 That\u2019s why we\u2019re\u00a0really proud\u00a0of ourselves<\/span>\u00a0for having excelled once again<\/span>.\u00a0 And why do we continuously strive to excel?\u00a0 Well, because we made a commitment to our students, their parents, and to ourselves.\u00a0 That we will always\u00a0endeavour\u00a0to be the very best that we can be.\u00a0 We\u2019re gratified to know that our best is also the best in the eyes of the Ministry of Education\u2019s stringent\u00a0<\/span>MyQuest<\/span><\/i>\u00a0rating system.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>even more<\/span>\u00a0gratifying is that in th<\/span>is round in the 2018\/19 exercise, we\u00a0<\/span>secured and maintained\u00a0<\/span>our\u00a0<\/span>grand\u00a0<\/span>position as\u00a0<\/span>one of the only\u00a0<\/span><\/b>two<\/span><\/b>\u00a0colleges<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0that secured\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>coveted<\/span>\u00a0six-star rating<\/span>\u00a0in the large<\/span>–<\/span>college category (colleges with\u00a0<\/span>more than\u00a0<\/span>2000 students)<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Calvin Chan, the Principal<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>shares some of his\u00a0<\/span>thoughts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>SEGi College Subang\u00a0<\/span>Jaya<\/span>\u00a0(SCSJ) has proven itself to be\u00a0<\/span>outstanding<\/span><\/b>\u00a0by emerging as a champion\u00a0<\/span>yet again<\/span><\/b>\u00a0due to many factors, among which the most important are our commitment to excellence and the heartfelt efforts of, who has embarked upon the following initiatives to ensure academic excellence and a holistic experience for all the students in our care.\u00a0 These thoughtful efforts include\u00a0<\/span>our<\/span>\u00a0multi-million-Ringgit investment on\u00a0<\/span>Blackboard<\/span><\/i><\/a>, a learning management software used by many top institutions in the world to facilitate and\u00a0optimise\u00a0the teaching and learning process and experience.\u00a0 We\u2019ve also been fostering close partnerships with a wide spectrum of industries in the country and around the world to develop industry-relevant courses and assignments.\u00a0\u00a0 Also, we\u2019ve\u00a0<\/span>recently\u00a0<\/span>announced new\u00a0programmes\u00a0in collaboration with the University of Greenwich<\/a> to fit emerging job demands, among which is our Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Advertising and Digital Marketing Communication<\/a>.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>MyQuest\u00a0<\/span><\/i>rating is no small matter<\/span>, nor something to be shrugged off nonchalantly<\/span>.\u00a0 It is real, and it is serious.\u00a0 To our students, both current and prospective, it is a firm assurance of the quality of education that they will receive at SEGi College Subang Jaya, allowing them to stand out as exemplary graduates of one of the top colleges (if not the Number One) of Malaysia.\u00a0 It is a great leverage and advantage for them to secure the host of great employment opportunities that await them at the end of their studies with us.\u00a0 And to us as a college, the <\/span>MyQuest<\/span><\/i>\u00a0rating validates and assures our existence and commitment as a superior educational institution in Malaysia.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
