These dedicated learners, from the profound subjects of \u201cInclusion in Early Childhood Education\u201d and \u201cSpecial Needs and Learning Disabilities\u201d, came together to orchestrate an extraordinary day of happiness for the remarkable children of PERKATA, a school dedicated to special needs children. Our SEGians, along with the children\u2019s families and the local community, curated an unforgettable experience for all in attendance. Further, the initiative was a testament to the power of industrial engagement, where the students leveraged their learning for a meaningful cause during a short semester.<\/p>\n
With the guidance of the Early Childhood Education lecturer, Mdm. Barbara Maurice, the students crafted activities that would aid the special-needs children in honing their social and communication skills. Additionally, they played games, sang songs, and had immersive experiences that seamlessly integrated these young hearts into an inclusive circle of compassion.<\/p>\n
The event goes beyond merely impacting the children at the special needs home; it serves as a compelling illustration of why active involvement of students pursuing Early Childhood Education and Psychology is of utmost importance. These social activities go beyond theoretical learning, instead equipping these future educators and professionals with a priceless ability to comprehend, support, and uplift children with special needs.
