SEGi University and Colleges, together with WhyteHouse Education Group and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Council Malaysia, has received overwhelming support from the Penang government for the upcoming childhood education online conference on children\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe state government is aware of the importance of children\u2019s well-being. We are pleased to support and sponsor this event which is in line with the Penang 2030 vision,\u201d said state social development and non-Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Chong Eng at the press conference.<\/p>\n
The conference will be held between 13 to 20 August, the SEGi-WhyteHouse Early Years International Conference, with the theme of \u2018Nurturing Holistic Well-being in Early Childhood. It aims to professionalise the ECCE market further and understand the meaning of \u2018well-being\u2019 in different parts of the world.<\/p>\n
The conference features a diverse portfolio of speakers and, for the first time, a conference that gives Malaysians a perspective of what schools in other countries are doing and understands their well-being goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe conference is targeted at academic scientists, scholars and researchers. Parents and students are welcome to join,\u201d Chong said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, to further echo Chong\u2019s view, WhyteHouse Education co-founder Jerry Yeoh emphasises the importance of Early Education for Children.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe virtual session will feature several international experienced childhoods and education speakers as well as panel discussions comprising various stakeholders,\u201d Chong said.<\/p>\n
Also present were Penang Women Development Corporation chief executive officer Ong Bee Leng and SEGi College Penang Sales & Marketing head Joanne Kim.<\/p>\n
