Representing the college was a dedicated team of final-year <strong data-start=\"350\" data-end=\"387\">Diploma in Information Technology<\/strong> students, <strong data-start=\"398\" data-end=\"421\">Calvin Ng Wei Keong<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"426\" data-end=\"443\">Cheong Kai Qi<\/strong>, who showcased their innovation on an international stage.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"809\">The team achieved an outstanding accomplishment by securing a <strong data-start=\"566\" data-end=\"582\">Silver Medal<\/strong> for their innovative project titled <strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"635\">\u201cDonor Link\u201d<\/strong>. This recognition reflects the students\u2019 creativity, technical competency, and ability to develop solutions that address real-world challenges with meaningful social impact.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"811\" data-end=\"1170\"><strong data-start=\"811\" data-end=\"825\">Donor Link<\/strong> was developed as a blood donation campaign application aimed at supporting healthcare initiatives through digital innovation. The application enables donors to record and track their blood donation activities, monitor donation history, and stay informed about ongoing and upcoming blood donation campaigns in an efficient and systematic manner.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1566\">By offering a <strong data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1218\">centralised digital platform<\/strong>, Donor Link enhances donor engagement, awareness, and participation while improving the overall efficiency of blood donation campaign management. The system bridges the gap between donors and campaign organisers by ensuring accurate, timely, and accessible information delivery, ultimately encouraging consistent and sustainable donor involvement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1922\" data-end=\"2311\">This achievement represents a <strong data-start=\"1952\" data-end=\"2001\">significant milestone for SEGi College Penang<\/strong>, as it marks the institution\u2019s first notable success at an <strong data-start=\"2061\" data-end=\"2100\">international innovation exhibition<\/strong> involving Diploma in Information Technology students. It serves as a catalyst for strengthening the culture of innovation, applied research, and competition participation within the <strong data-start=\"2283\" data-end=\"2310\">Department of Computing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2313\" data-end=\"2790\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Beyond the award itself, the recognition enhances the <strong data-start=\"2367\" data-end=\"2410\">international visibility and reputation<\/strong> of SEGi College Penang, reinforcing its position as an institution that nurtures <strong data-start=\"2492\" data-end=\"2539\">industry-ready, innovation-driven graduates<\/strong> with strong social consciousness.
