SUMMARY:3M-MAP Intervarsity Prosthodontic Competition 2018
DESCRIPTION:The Faculty of Dentistry (FOD)\, SEGi University fielded one Fixed Partial Denture (FPD) case presented by Year 5 student Chong Jun Ning\, at the “3M-MAP Intervarsity Prosthodontic Competition 2018”on 12/05/2018 at the 3M Customer Innovation Centre\, Mercu PICORP\, Kuala Lumpur . The competition themed “Bridge the Gap” was opened to all 13 dental schools in Malaysia. Students were given 3M oral care products (Express 2 Heavy Body & Light Body wash impression material\, RelyX U200 resin cement & RelyX Temp NE temporary cement\, Protemp 4 provisional material and Express XT Putty Soft impression material) to use to present a clinical case of FPD in the competition. Eleven (11) dental schools participated. Each participant submitted a written case report and made an oral presentation. \nThe clinical case was supervised by FOD Prosthodontic lecturers. In addition\, two (2) teams with four (4) members each participated in ‘Impaction 4’ quiz competition which was held together with the 10th NDSSC 2018. 13 national and 4 international universities participated in this conference.
